Day to day maintenance is handled through our Tenant Service Centres. If a problem arises, tenants can request specific maintenance on their homes by contacting our Call Centre at 613-731-1182. When that request is made, a work order number is provided that communicates the request to the appropriate Property Manager, which also allows the tenant to track the order.
Major repairs and improvements are accomplished through our annual Capital Plan. The 2012 Capital Budget amounted to $29.8 million, with Capital Projects accounting for $11.9 million of this. Maintenance and restoration projects accounted for much of the remainder of the budget.
With such a large portfolio to oversee, OCH counts on tenants to relay information related to maintenance issues so that repairs can be made quickly. Tenant Leaders are encouraged to communicate with fellow tenants in order to identify any major repair issue that might exist in their community.
